Letter From The Founder No. 28
A Beachman Year In Review
Looking back on 2024, I am incredibly proud of the work our team accomplished.
A year ago, we were a company of 3 people working out of a friend's warehouse, building bikes one at a time and selling them only in Toronto.
As we stand today, we've built an 8,000 square foot factory and offices, designed and successfully implemented a direct-to-door shipping solution across Canada and the United States, we sold 350 bikes this year, more than double last year, and in 2025 we are set to double or triple that number again.
Since we founded the company in 2021, we have now sold and shipped over 700 Beachman bikes. A momentous achievement for what started as two guys tinkering in Steve's back yard. These past 3 years have been a whirlwind of changes, challenges, and victories, and I look forward to facing the new challenges that next year brings.
We launched and sold over 100 Aviators, our new model launching in 2025, and are well on the way to delivering those bikes on time. We grew our team to 8 employees, and continue to grow on that front. And we now have dealerships across America.
For me though, the most surreal day this year was when we got health insurance. I don't know why, but that moment hit me deeply. 10 years ago I started a little instagram account called Beachman, and now that idea has grown to the point where the people involved have salary, healthcare, and benefits. What a strange thing to happen, indeed.
Thank you to our customers and fans for making this dream a reality. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas eve.

Steve X Toronto Life
Many of you will be familiar with Steves mad science creations (AKA his vintage electric car conversions) and especially the bumblebee dune buggy.
This year Toronto Life magazine recognized Steve's genius with a full page feature on his awesome build, alongside some other professional electro-mod cars.
Below are some shots of Steve's daily driver, his 1961 VW Squareback station wagon, which he also converted to electric this summer.
The rust patina, by the way, was preserved intentionally with a clear coat, so that Steve has the most unassuming sleeper of an EV in the city. Junkyard looks with Tesla performance.

I Made Forbes 30 Under 30
This nomination came as a total surprise, and I'm still not quite sure how Forbes knew about me or Beachman. But it was truly an honour.
I have been working on Beachman since I was 18 years old. It may feel like these past few years have a been an overnight success for us, but for me they are the result of a decade of efforts, of spending money on sample products and 3D renders of bikes instead of going on beach vacations with my friends. The reality is that I sacrificed a lot of fun in my early 20's to work on this project, especially financially. So it is nice to see some recognition for that effort, and I guess a very appropriate award for that special kind of sacrifice.
The reality of this award is that it is the result of the cumulative efforts of everyone who has worked here at Beachman, and being young, I was the one to receive it. But it wouldn't have happened without my co-founder and our staff, to whom I am eternally grateful.

Blundstone Contest Wrapped!
It's been a great time collaborating with Blundstone boots on these amazing custom bikes, and the boots giveaway. Congrats to the 11 winners of their brand new beauties, and thank you to everyone who participated in the contest!
We have some very cool collaborations coming next year, and more opportunities to win a free Beachman, one of the reasons to read these emails ;)

A New Custom Spec Has Dropped
The Scrambler Kit is now live for the '64, featuring an insanely cool 1970's style scrambler mod for our iconic '64.
The kit is $750 and sets your bike apart from the crowd.
The kit significantly improves the off-road capability of a Beachman, but it's still worth noting that the '64 is not a purpose built off-road dirt bike. Think desert roads, not trails paths.
The kit is meant to be added onto a new build, so if you want to upgrade your existing bike at home, we'll need to connect you with a shop capable of installing the upgrades.

And that's everything!
I'm off to enjoy bonfires, saunas, winter hikes and all sorts of Christmas good times, and I hope you are too.
See you down the road.
Cheers,
